Total work done on an object = change in kinetic energy

Kinetic energy = 1/2 m v2.

In the given problem, velocity of elevator is constant. So, kinetic energy of the elevator does not change.

Hence, work done = change in kinetic energy of the elevator = 0 J.(option A)
