The National Center for Atmospheric Research has a laboratory located on the Table Mesa in south Boulder. This lab is located high above most of Boulder. Water to the lab is supplied from a big green water tank which is located on a ridge 240 m west of the lab. The bottom of the tank is 80 m higher than the lab. (You can see it if you hike up there.) The tank has a 500 mA2 cross sectional area and it is filled with water to a depth of 8m. The tube bringing the water from the tank to the lab is connected to the bottom of the tank. Water has a density of 1000 kg/m3.
