A researcher (me) is interested in the differences and similarities in men and women’s experienced frequency of sexual desire(s). To better understand these differences/similarities, men and women are asked to indicate, in a series of questions, the strength and frequency of their desires (or lack thereof) for sexual gratification. The following output reflects the findings when comparing men and women’s responses to the question; “How often have you had the desire for sexual gratification?” (answers range from 1 “never” to 7 “all the time”)

two sample independent t-test is used by this inferential test

Levene's test has p-value = 0.479 > alpha(0.05)
hence we can assume that variance are equal
p-value for test is 0.000 {sig column}

A two-sample independent test was conducted to see the difference in men and women's experienced frequency of sexual desires
We find t(264) = 5.283,p<0.001, hence there is significant difference in Man(M = 5.12,sd = 1.452) and Woman(M = 4.11,sd = 1.494)
