C++ code do while loop issue. The code I posted works but when
it prompts the user if they want to try against with another
sentence, it only takes the Y and goes straight into another loop,
without letting me enter a new sentence. I need it to be able to
take the Y response from a user and then let me enter another
sentence.
do
{
cout<<"Enter a sentence:"; //user input sentence
cin.getline(str,80);
int wordsCount = 0;
for (int i=0;str[i] !='\0'; i++) //making space for null
{
if (str[i] == ' ')//checking for space
{
wordsCount++;
}
}
my print out code.....
//ask user to enter another sentence
cout << "Try Again? (Y/N)\n";
cin>>input;
}while ((input == 'y') ||( input == 'Y'));
return 0;
Just add one line that is cin.ignore(); this line eat the \n
we take value for input (y/n) and press enter "\n" is stored in the str next time so we are unable take next time sentence
#include<string.h>
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main()
{
char str[80],input;
do
{
cout<<"Enter a sentence:"; //user input sentence
cin.getline(str,80);
int wordsCount = 0;
for (int i=0;str[i] !='\0'; i++) //making space for null
{
if (str[i] == ' ')//checking for space
{
wordsCount++;
}
}
//my print out code.....
//ask user to enter another sentence
cout << "Try Again? (Y/N)\n";
cin>>input;
cin.ignore(); //eat the \n value
// if not used cin.ignore(). \n value is stored in str. so you unable type next time sentence
}while ((input == 'y') ||( input == 'Y'));
return 0;
}

c++ Write the following 2 functions and test them. Both of them need to be recursive functions. int sum(int n); // recursive version to calculate the sum of 1 + 2 + ..... + n int str_length(char s[]; // Returns length of the string s[] and the null character, '0\', is not counted in the length). Example of program execution; Enter a positive integer: 10 (user input) The sum of 1+ 2+....+10 is: 55 Enter a sentence: Hello World! (user...
in c++ language 1.Re-write the following for loop statement by using a while loop statement: int sum = 0; for(int i=0;i<=1000;i++){ sum+=i; } 1 (b). Following is the main () function of a program. The program asks a user to enter 150 integers and print the largest integer user entered. int main() { int score, highest; //missing portion of the program return 0; } 1(c). im writing a c++ code and getting stuck on two parts. The first part, when I go to write the customer order out to the file, it writes everything but the price out right. I'll get a weird number like 5.95828e-039 or nan. When I printout to the console it works fine so not sure what's wrong. Second After I write the order out to the file, I then have to go in and read the file and calculate the...
Can someone provide detailed comments on what this code is doing for each line? I posted the assignment below. I am having trouble learning and getting assistance because I keep getting answers provided w/ good information on how the problem was solved. I have spent too much on tutoring this month and I am relying heavily on assistance here. Can you please assist with helping me understand each line of code that was written here? Also- is there an easier...

This is for a C++ program: I'm almost done with this program, I just need to implement a bool function that will ask the user if they want to repeat the read_course function. I can't seem to get it right, the instructions suggest a do.. while loop in the main function. here is my code #include <iostream> #include <cstring> #include <cctype> using namespace std; const int SIZE = 100; void read_name(char first[], char last[]); void read_course(int & crn, char des[],...
C++ language I need to update this code with the following: ask the user for how many structures they would like. Once you get the number, allocate an array of pointers. Once they have been created, proceed to loop through and get the data as usual, and display it back to the screen. struct record { int age; string name; }; int check(record r[], int n, string nm) { for (int i = 0; i < n;...
