1.You can use conductors of sizes 18 AWG and 16 AWG (installed in a raceway, enclosure, or listed cable) if they do not supply a load that exceeds the ampacities . Conductors larger than 16 AWG must not supply loads greater than the ampacities.

2. There are different types of metal conduits. The basic Types of rigid metal conduits are Allied Galvanized metal conduits and intermediate metal conduits.

3. Rigid and IMC conduit are the hardest raceways to bend by hand because they have a much thicker and harder wall. ½” and ¾” rigid or IMC can be bent by hand using a hickey bender. A hickey bender is used to bend conduit in small bends with short segments. PVC conduit is normally bent with heat.

4. Generally the minimum and maximum thread length for 16mm rigid metal conduits are 0.75m and 1m respectively.
