Food security is the availability of food to everyone at all the time and at a reasonable prices. All nutrients and health factors that comes from food is very important and all these cannot be extracted from a single plant. We need a combination of plants to get all the energy required and also maintain a balance in nature so that the plant does not become extinct. So if we use a variety of plants we can create that balance in nature and also stay healthy and fit, Hence variety in plants is important for food security.
