The angle with the vertical = 90 - 60 = 30 degrees

Therefore, the incident angle of the light on the pond surface is 90 - 60 = 30

Using Snell's law : n1*Sin(30) = n2*Sin(a) ;

n2 = 1.33 (refractive index of water)

a = sin-1[ Sin(30) / 1.33 ] = 22.08 degrees

tan(22.08) = x/13cm;

h = 13*tan(22.08) ;

h = 5.274 cm
