Differences between DDoS, TDoS and PDoS: -

Denial of Service costs the global economy billions of dollars. The economy is the soul of our society and its collapse will surely change the way humanity exists today. The three main goals of IT security are availability, confidentiality and integrity. Here I’m going to discuss about DDoS, TDoS and PDoS.

Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS): -

DDoS attack involves several connected online devices, known collectively as botnets, that serve to flood a target website with fake data traffic. The DDoS attack is a very remarkable event that affects online users. This makes it a popular weapon of choice for hacktivists, cyber hooligans, blackmailers and anyone who wants to say or do something for something. On the other hand, several connected devices distributed over the Internet initiate distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.

Telephony denial-of-service (TDoS): -

TDoS attack is an attempt to make a telephone system unavailable to the intended users by avoiding incoming/outgoing calls. This is achieved when an attacker successfully uses all available telephone resources so that no telephone line is free. It is a form of Denial of Service (DoS) that affects companies, government agencies and other commercial language systems. The goal of TDoS is to make a large number of calls and keep them active as long as possible in order to completely or partially overwhelm or at least "obstruct" the victim's speech system.

Permanent denial-of-service (PDoS): -

PDoS attack is commonly called plashing. In such an assault, an assailant secures a gadget or obliterates firmware, rendering the gadget or a whole framework unusable. In this situation, there is no chance to fix or purchase another one to reestablish activities. Since these assaults been known for quite a long while these strategies haven't yet picked up footing with programmers.

Answer #1

Yes, I agree with the above post. This post talks about the denial of services through different modes such as DDoS, TDoS and PDoS. All these modes of service denial are used by hackers and cyber attackers to block the availability of resources to the people and disrupt the services which results in blocking or denying the availability of services to them and causes huge problems and network issues. This is a big threat to the economy and needs to be looked at in order to maintain security and confidentiality of public and organizational information over IT system and ensure reliability.
