Drug Trial Data - Investigate the proportion of married patients.
Quality Control Data - Investigate the proportion of chips chosen while Kelly was managing the factory.
Employee Evaluation Data - Investigate the proportion of employees in the north region.

3a. Write a reason why you would want to estimate this population proportion.
3b. State the sample size, n, and the sample proportion, "p bar" (p with a line over it).
3c. Calculate a 95% confidence interval for the population proportion, p. Report at least three decimal places.
3d. Interpret this interval in the same way you did in step 2d.

Answer #1

The following is the given informaiton :

Present head ache Not present head ache Total
Treatment Group 29 2081 2110
Control Group 27 1584 1611

Relative risk = (29/2110)/(27/1611) = 0.82

Odds ratio = (29/2081)/(27/1584) = 0.8176

The RR value is less than one, there is decreased risk for headache for treatment group
