C+O2 ---> CO2

S+O2-----> SO2

here, carbon is the fuel that contributes to electricity production.

lbmoles of SO2   =100 million *2000 lb of SO2/64 lb/lbmol =3125 million lbmol of SO2

carbon and sulphur are burnt ratio of 1:1

Metric tons of Coal =3125 *0.98=3062.5 million lbmol*12 lb/lbmol=36750 million lb=735*10^5 million tons
