The viscosity of compound depends upon the intermolecular forces that exist between different molecules and that holds molecules together.
Glycerol molecles can form intermolecular hydrogen bonding between hydrogen atom attached to electronegative oxygen atom with neighbouring electronegative oxygen atom. The presence of intemrolecular hydrogen bonding holds the glycerol molecules together and as a result glycerol is highly viscosu liquid.
However, benzene molecule is non polar and there is no possibility of hydrogen bonding since there are no hydrogens attached to any electronegative atoms. Only intemroelcular forcs of attraction are London or dispersion forces. Since these dispersion forces are weaker the resultant visocisty is also lower.
