Answer #1

the balanced equation is as follows

2 NaOH + H2SO4 ----------------------> Na2SO4 + 2 H2O

using the dilution law M1V1 /n1 = M2V2/n2

for NaOH , M1 = 2.2 M ,V1 = ? , n1 = 2

for H2SO4 , M2 = 7.5 M , V2 = 8.5 mL , n2 = 1

V1 = M2V2n1 / n1 M1

V1 = 7.5 * 8.5 * 2 / 1 * 2.2

V1 = 57.9545 mL

answer => volume - 57.95 mL
