1) A box contains 17 fuses. 6 of them are rated at 10 amperes (A) and the other 11 are rated at 15 A. Two fuses are selected at random. What is the probability that the second fuse is rated at 15 A, given that the first fuse is rated at 10 A?

It is already given that first fuse is 10 A rated. So, now for the second fuse, sample space is reduced to 11 fuses of 15A and 5 fuses of 10A.

So we want to find probability on this reduced sample space that 2nd fuse is 15A rated.

Required probability = No.of remaining 15A rated fuses/ No. of remaining total fuses = 11 / 16 = 0.6875
