Here is the orbital diagram..

. aaain cyclopentadiene,there are 5 carbon atoms,and the system is nonconjugate. But in cyclopentadiene anion there are 5 carbon atoms,6 electrons, moreover the system is conjugated planar system. It follows Huckel's rule and Frost model. Thus it is an aromatic system.
