Answer #1

the pressure dependence for one component

\DeltaGi = \DeltaG0 + RT ln( P/ 1 bar)

to a multicomponen t system

\Deltaμi =\Delta μi0 + RT ln (Pi /1 bar)

These two expressions are essentially identical and The chemical potential, μi, is nothing more than a molar free energy.

so \DeltaGi = \DeltaG0 + RT ln( P/ 1 bar)

5.9 kj/mol = \DeltaG0 + 8.314 j/K mol x 222K x ln12

  \DeltaG0   = (5900 -4586) j/mol

= 1313.58 j/mol

= 1.3 kj/mol
