the Eighth Amendment deals with prohibiting the federal govt from unreasonable fines or cruel and unusal punishements.

The Fifth and Sixth amendment also deal with criminal law and justice

The Sixth amendment guarantees the rights of a criminal defendent to a public trial without unnecessary delay
