Answer #1

Deciding the type of the Bacteria:

Data given:

Set of data of bacteria concentration at given time

Creating X-Ygraph:

In the excel worksheet, enter the given data and Create a chart of Scatter (X-Y) type for

Bacteria concentration as a function of time. Change the label in the graph.

We have drawn these three kinds of graphs showing bacteria concentration versus time.

From these three graph we conclude the bacteria type.

The equation given for the bacteria growth for type A is given by,

bt C = ae …… (1)

The equation (1) tells that type A bacteria is growing exponentially as time is increasing.

The equation for bacteria growth for type B is given by,

CB = at …… (2)

The equation (2) tells that the type B bacteria is growing linearly as time increases.

The graphs which we drawn earlier specifies that the bacteria is growing exponentially. As time increases the bacteria is growing exponentially.

accordin to the two equations type A bacteria is growing exponentially whereas type B bacteria is growing linearly. So the engineer is dealing with type A bacteria because our graph is growing exponentially based on the time.

so the engineer is dealing with the type A bacteria.
