Question

The figure shows a region of uniform magnetic field directed into the page, surrounded by regions where the magnetic field is zero. A square coil of wire is moving to the right across the figure in snapshots.

When the coil is moving out of the region of non-zero magnetic field.

a) On the figure, draw the direction of the induced current in the wire loop. If there is no induced current, explicitly state that.

b) Draw the direction of the magnetic force that the magnetic field exerts on the induced current flowing through each edge of the wire coil.

c) What is the direction of the net magnetic force that the magnetic field exerts on the induced current on the coil? If it is zero, explicitly state so.O o o o O O O O O O o o o o o o O O O O O B

Answer #1

mme SolesAccorfing to Lenz law the current produce in square loop opposes the change in magnetic flux

So direction of current would be clockwise as the magnetic filed increases through square loop.
