From the 1HNMR spectra of Isoborneol, the marked peaks are appears for the protons that are shown below. H3C HC H2C НАС Here, peak A and B are not appears in the same place because the two -CH3 experiencing two different environment since the molecule is chiral. Peak C appears in that place because it is bonded with a carbon next to an oxygen atom. Due to presence of neighboring -CH2 it appears as triplet. The peak D is for the -OH proton. -OH proton does not have a specific position, depending on the concentration of the compound it appears in different place. Sometimes it does couple with neighboring proton and sometimes not. Sometimes it appears as a broad singlet. In this case it appears as a broad singlet.
