  • Mass percentage of any component of the solution =(Mass of the component in the solution / Total mass of the solution) x 100

In this question :-

Mass of NaCl = 5 g

Total mass of solution = mass of water + mass of NaCl = 25 g + 5 g = 30 g

Mass % of NaCl = (5 g ÷ 30 g) × 100 % = 16.67 %​​​​​​​​​​​
