Apologies, this is inorganic chemistry, couldn't find a subject tab for this. Thank you in advance
just need assistance with both questions
IUPAC rules for naming complex compounds:
1. For ionic complexes, always name the cation first.
2. In complex ion, name the ligands first and then the central atom.
3. If more than one ligand present, use di, tri, tetra,..... suffix.
4. For polydentate ligands, use bis, tris, tetrakis... as suffix.
5. If different ligands are present, follow alphabetical order.
6. For neutral and cationic complex ions, central metal name is written as it is.
7. For anionic complexes, the central metal atom name ends with -ate.
8. Oxidation number of central atom must be shown in Roman numbers after the metal name.
The IUPAC names for the given complex compounds are as follows:

Inorganic Chemistry 3. What is the oxidation state and coordination number of the central cobalt in each of the prepared complexes? What is the geometry of each one? A [Co (NH₂), CI] Cla B) [Co (NH) (ONO)] C12 C) [c ( H) (No)] Cla
can anyone confirm my answers for all of 2 and all of 4? 1. Name following coordination complexes. (a) K][PdC1] (b) [Co(H2O),(NH3)4]2+ (b) [Mn(NH3),(En)]2+ (c) [CrCl,(NH3)4]CI, 2. State the coordination number and oxidation state of the following catalysts. (a) [Pt(CO) PPhz] (b) [Ni(C1).]2- (c) [Ir(Cl) (CO)En(PPhz)2]3+ (d)Liz[AuClo] 3. Define the following. (a) Ligand (b) Coordination number (c) Polydentate ligand (d) Primary valency 4. Write the formula of following coordination complexes. (a) Tris(ethylenediammine)cobalt(III) nitrate (b) Hexacyanomolybdate(II) (c) Tetrahydroxocuprate(II) (d) Sodium dibromidodichloridonickelate
SYNTHESIS OF TRANSITION METAL COORDINATION COM 3. Ethylenediamine ("en" in short-hand notation) has two amine groups, one at each end of a two-carbon chain, NH,CH,CH,NH. Each nitrogen in NH,CH,CH_NH, has a lone pair that coordinates to the metal. Thus, one NH CH CH NH, ligand, takes up two coordina- tion sites. a) Draw and label the structures of the cis and trans isomers of Co(en),C1,CI. b) What is the coordination number for (Coſen),C1,CI? c) Determine the oxidation state of the...
