Answer #1

Calorimeter constant is a constant that relates to the heat capacity of the calorimeter. It is calculated using the below equation:

ΔΗ CAT AH = Changeinenthalpyin joules AT = Change intemperature in kelvinor celsius

The heat capacity of the calorimeter, Ccal, can also determine by dividing qcal by the temperature change.

Where qcal is the heat gained by the calorimeter, which is determined by :

Ical = 9ct - Ecoid ATing=-9.4 °C AT coa =7.4 °C Ingr = mspecific heat of water x AT70 9x=18x(4.186 CX(-94°C) por=-39.35J 9coi

Heat gained by the calorimeter:

Ical = 9not - 9 cod =-(-39.35J)-(+30.971) = 8.38J

Heat capacity of the calorimeter or calorimeter constant Ccal:

x cass= 1 es + Pst
