Molecular equation is :

CuSO4 (aq) + 2KI (aq) -------------------> CuI2 (s) + K2SO4 (aq)

Completely dissociate the strong electrolytes like CuSO4, KI and K2SO4. While don not ionize the weak electrolytes like CuI2 .

Therefore,

Total ionic equation is :

Cu2+ (aq) + SO42- (aq) + 2K+ (aq) + 2I- (aq) -------------------> CuI2 (s) + 2K+ (aq) + SO42- (aq)

Cancel the spectator ions like K+ and SO42- on both the side :

Net ionic equation is :

Cu2+ (aq) + 2I- (aq) -------------------> CuI2 (s)
