Answer #1

Ans :-

Given mass of Mg = 0.350 g

Because, Number of moles of Mg = Given mass of Mg in g / Gram molar mass of Mg

= 0.350 g / 24.305 g/mol

= 0.0144 mol

The reaction between Mg and HCl is :

Mg + 2HCl ---------------------> MgCl2 + H2

From balance chemical equation it is clear that

1 mole of Mg gives = 1 mole of H2

Therefore,

0.0144 mol of Mg gives = 0.0144 mole of H2

So,

Number of moles of H2 gas produced = 0.0144 mol
