from the figure

width of slit w = 2cm - 1cm = 1cm

                      = 0.01m

wave length of ligth λ = 520nm

                                   = 520 * 10-9 m

distance between slit and screen L = 1.1m

width of the brigth central maximum is given by   formula

               w = 2λL/a

             a = 2λL/w

               = 2 * 520 * 10^-9m * 1.1m/ 0.01m

                  = 0.114mm
