Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

We know that,the linear expansion of the concrete is given by,

\Delta L=L\alpha (T_{2}-T_{1})

Where, given that,

Length of the slab, L-375 cm 3.75 m

Coefficient of linear expansion of concrete, \alpha=12\times10^{-6}\;K^{-1}

T, = 115°F . 319.3 K

= 00 F = 255.4 K

\therefore Linear expansion of the concrete slab is given by,

3.75 m × 12 × 10-6 K-1 × (319.3 K-255.4 K) ▲L-La(T2-Tİ)

This expansion is the gap formed when the temperature hit 0oF.

Hope this helped for your studies. Keep learning. Have a good day.
