Quantitative approach uses statistical or mathematical based data to analyse the possible solutions and make decision based on a structured approach. This approach has a data to prove and decisions are made on basis of data analysis and emotional or perceptional factors do not influence the result. Thus, these are more methodological and systematic as compared to qualitative approach to decision making.

However, there is a factor of perception involved whenever human intervention is present. Since, humans display a certain level of bias or emotional attachment while making decisions. This is with respect to the basic human nature. Also, the way the data is interpreted determines the outcome. Hence the quantitative approach to decision making rely on the perception of an individual.
