Water is polar solvent. Polar compounds are soluble in polar solvent.ketone, aldehyde,caboxylic acid are polar compounds. But number of carbon atoms are increases polarity decreases and non polar nature increases.

So solubility in water decreases. Hence number of carbon atoms are increases solubility decreases.
