Answer #1

Selective Repeat Pipelined Transfer

sliding window TCP has sub part go back N and selective repeat in which selective repeat uses less re-transmission

if you have any doubt then please ask me without any hesitation in the comment section below , if you like my answer then please thumbs up for the answer , before giving thumbs down please discuss the question it may possible that we may understand the question different way and i can edit and change the answers if you argue, thanks :)

The question has parts: a,b,c,d and e. Intro. To Telecommunications Assign#4 (d) Suppose the same situation as above but sender and receiver use Selective Repeat ARQ What frame(s) would the sender need to retransmit? Explain. 1. Suppose that a sender and a receiver are using ARQ to perform reliable data delivery. (a) In a Go-Back-N ARQ protocol, the window size is 6. Since the range of sequence numbers is so large relative to the window size, when answering the questions, you don’t need to worry about the necessity of wrapping the sequence numbers from the higher end (1023) back to the lower end (0). 1.Consider the go-back-n protocol with a sender window size N=4 and a sequence number range of 0-1023. (Apparently, for some reason, this sender is not using the maximum possible value 1023 as its window size, but that is...
