Health education concerns all those experiences of an individual, group or community that influences beliefs, attitudes and behaviour with respect to health as well as the process and efforts of producing change when this neccessary for optimum health- WHO

Thus to promote health education health educators are appointed. They promote proper use of health services , encourage people to adopt and sustain health promoting lifestyles and practices.

The function of this health educators are mainly assessment of risks and identification of patiens needs and problems, also counselling and showing proper way to use the health services and to consult respective health officials if any health issues occurs so this is primarily a job of health educators to teach and share knowledge in the society and create awareness and thus identifying the health problems and not of an epidemiologists who finds the information regarding the prevalent disease its frequency, its distribution, its determinants.
