Ans :

When the volume of gas expands from 3.60 L to 12.6 L

the factor of volume increase : 12.6 / 3.60

= 3.5

The volume of gas is inversely proportional to its temperature , so if the volume is increased , the pressure will decrease by that same factor of 3.5.

Initial pressure = 121 bar = 119.418 atm

Putting the values in formula :

P1V1 = P2V2

119.418 x 3.60 = P2 x 12.6

P2 = 34.12 atm

Final pressure in bar = 34.6 bar
