Carbon atoms without attached hydrogens do not appear in DEPT spectra.

DEPT-90 only shows CH, and DEPT-135 shows CH/CH3 with a positive phase and CH2 with a negative one.

Double bond equivalent of C7H12O2 = 7+1 -12/2 = 2

Conclusion- two double bonds are present.

IR 1738 cm^-1 indicates presence of an ester group.
