The rope is wound around a drum at the top of incline. The drum has amass of 156 kg, radius of inertia of 180 mm, frictional torque of 20 Nm and a diameter of 5000 mm. Assuming that the rope is parallel to the plane. Calculate: (a) the force in the rope at the instant the trolley moved at 1.2 m/s and 0.3 m/s2: (b) the total torque to be applied to the drum under these conditions, (7) (c) the work rate consumed at 1.2 m/s if if the drive is 92% efficient and acceleration is 0.3 m/s.
