a)

since the test score are being used to determine cheating (ie if test score showed surprising change from one year to the next), the variable is ordinal.

b)

The Z distribution follows a bell curve(normal distribution). If the distribution of the test scores follows a bell shape then the data is normally distributed ie there is no cheating

c)

If the distribution of the test scores follows a bell shape then the data is normally distributed ie there is no cheating

d)

The error would be a Type 1 Error as a type I error is the rejection of a true null hypothesis (also known as a "false positive" error)
