Answer #1

The pelvis is made up of three bones; hip bones, the sacrum of five bones joined together, and the coccyx. A male pelvis is smaller, heavier, and narrower in nature to support the heavy build.

Female pelvis is geared for childbirth and hence is different from male pelvis. The pelvic bones of females are shorter, wider, and more rounded. The surrounding bones are flexible to accommodate gestation and childbirth. The space between major pelvic bones in females should be able to accommodate baby’s head during childbirth. The male pelvis has a V shaped pubic arch while in female, it is wider and an inverted U shaped.

Male pelvic cavity is narrow, deep and funnel shaped while female pelvic cavity is oval and shallow.

Right Option is B. the female pelvic cavity is more funnel shaped.
