What does shared services mean and what software solution would you chose?
Service automation and movement towards self-service is one of the key objectives of the shared services initiative. The Contractor’s proposed solution must assist DIS with the evaluation and implementation of the automation solution, oriented towards the following requirements:
i. Event Automation
ii. Auto remediation and self-healing
iii. Automated CMDB update
iv. Workload Automation
v. Server Automation

Shared services are the cost efficient consolidation of the services and business operation used by many parts and departments of the same organization. There are many fronts on which shared services can be used in a business or in an organization. Also, shared service and software are cost efficient and centralize the back office operations and other operations. Companies used shared services and software to reduce and absorb the cost of the shared services and employee shared services tools and software for finance, human resources management (HRM) and information technology (IT). Shared services are used to allow the business to focus on the limited resources and make cost efficient max utilization of it.
