Answer #1

In X-axis, the value of x is shifted from 0(green) to -9(blue).

In Y-axis, the value of y is shifted from 0(green) to -6(blue).

So, the equation of line in green by transforming given equation y = x2 is

(y+6) = (x+9)2 or y = x2 + 18x + 75.

Answer #2

SOLUTION :

Vertex of green (y = x^2) is at point (0, 0)

Vertex of blue is at point (- 9, - 6)

It means blue curve is obtained by shifting green curve by 9 units to the left and 6 units down.

Henc,e the equation of the blue curve will be : y = (x + 9)^2 - 6 (ANSWER).
