Answer #1

Solution A .

The pressure measured is the guage pressure ,

Pg = 190kpa = 190000pa

Absolute pressure ,Pa = Pg + Patm

( Patm = atmospheric pressure = 101325 )

Therefore ,Pa = 190000 + 101325 pa

Pa = 291325 pa

Now , as 1pa = 9.869 x 10^ -6 atm

Therefore

Pa = absolute pressure = 2.88 atm

Solution B. Guage pressure in torr

Pg = 190000 pa

As 1pa = 0.0075 torr

Therefore , Pg = 1425.12 torr
