1.      Determine the rated equivalent resistance of the heater

2.      Determine the maximum that the rectifier can provide to the heater

3.      When the SCR is fired at angle of p/3, determine

a.      Waveform of the voltages across the load, the SCR

b.      Waveform of the currents flow through the SCR, drawn by the load and supplied by the source

c.       Average value of load voltage, load current

d.      Form factor and ripple factor of the load current

e.      Average and rms value of current flows through the SCR

f.        Power consumed by the load and the power factor of the system

Determine the firing angle to adjust power of the heater to 2.5kW
