We know that, sin θ = perpendicular / hypotenuse

Where , for θ = 56° , perpendicular is x ( side opposite to angle) and hypotenuse is 19 ft

So, sin 56 = x /19

0.829 = x/19

x = 15.752 ft

Hence, slide will extend 15.8 ft approx from base of steps ---- Answer
