Performance rating is the step in work measurement in which the analyst observes the performance and compares it with other paces learns to judge pace level as percent of the standard pace. It is the pace rate of a worker against a standard performance level set by the analyst.

Normal time is the time when work should be done without any delays whereas standard time is the time taken by worker to complete the work with unavoidable delays/allowances

Normal time= observed time*performance rating

standard time=normal time/1-allowance
