2. For finding sliding time or the service life is,

t=w/(k*p*v)

where, w =0.2 mm

k = Specific wear (depends on type of load and lubrication)= 30*10-6 (table attached).

p= 2 N/mm2

v = 15 mm/s

t = 222.22 hours
