America was colonized by the British was the history of establishing control, settlement, and occupying the continent of America by England, Scotland, and Great Britain. In the 17th century, the colonization efforts began with a failed attempt by England to establish permanent colonies in the northern region. In 1607, in Jamestown, Virginia, the first British colony was established. Over the next coming centuries, more settlements were established in North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

The European nations who had their colonies in the Americas were allowed. The thirteen colonies were mainly divided between Britain, France, Spain. Although there were disputes between these nations for their supremacy in these colonies, only European countries were allowed in them. The slaves and labor they supplied by these colonizers were permitted as they were brought and sold as plantation workers to these colonies. The life of each colony was very different from the other. They follow the rules and laws of their colonizers.

Answer #2
American colonies, also called thirteen colonies or colonial America, the 13 British colonies that were established during the 17th and early 18th centuries in what is now a part of the eastern United States. The colonies grew both geographically along the Atlantic coast and westward and numerically to 13 from the time of their founding to the American Revolution (1775–81). Their settlements had spread far beyond the Appalachians and extended from Maine in the north to the Altamaha River in Georgia when the Revolution began, and there were at that time about 2.5 million American colonists.
