Why do z scores give us a more accurate comparison in order to determine "better" performance?
Answer)
Z score tells us how many standard deviation a given score is away from mean
Z = (x - mean)/s.d
So, greater the z score, better the performance.
For example mean and standard deviation for maths exam is 90 and 5 respectively
And sam scored 95 in that exam and david scored 98
Z score for sam is (95-90)/5 = 1
Z score for david is (98-90)/5 = 1.6
As z score for david is more than the z score for Sam
So, David did better
Why do z scores give us a more accurate comparison in order to determine "better" performance?
Explain how ABC (Activity Based Costing) give an accurate evaluation of management performance in comparison to traditional costing method
22. Use standardization ( scores) to determine which has a better relative position: a score of 75 on a statistics test with a mean of 60 and a standard deviation of 10 or a score of 36 on an accounting test with a mean of 30 and a variance of 16? A) Z-1.5 and Z - 375 so Statistics has best performance B) Z-1.5 and Z -1.5 both tests so the same performance C) Z-1.5 and ZA - 375 so...

6. Using z-scores to compare different populations The International Average Salary Income Database provides a comparison of average salaries for various professions. The data are gathered from publications and reports obtained directly from government agencies (such as the US Bureau of Labor Statistics) or from the International Labour Organization.Suppose an industrial/organizational psychologist is interested in the relationships between job satisfaction, job performance, and job compensation. She has data from five different countries on the average monthly salaries paid to firefighters. She...
a) Arrays as data structures are considered to have better performance in comparison to symbol tables. In the lecture, you might have noticed an example of a symbol table defined for keys of type Integer (e.g. , ). Provide an example that justifies the use of the symbol table that utilizes Integer as a key over an array. Explain your choice.\ b)One of many potential use cases for symbol tables discussed in the lecture is its implementation for a compiler,...
