Answer #1

Almost enterprise contains a lot of department working together and a huge amount of data is shared among them. At the beginning of software technology, the enterprise started to develop the software or program for each department individually and the data sharing among the department was possible by using the integration concept only.

Nowadays the size of data is increasing day by day and every department is internally connected with other departments.

For example:

If the purchasing department purchases 10 items from the vendor then the size of stock in inventory will be increased by 10 items and the sales department can sell those items which are available in the stock. As the transaction occurs in sales and purchase department, the credit and the debit amount will be affected at the same time in the finance department.

ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning, is a tool or technology which is developed as per the standard and most of the department is integrated internally like Account Receivable, Account Payable, Bank, Inventory, etc. If we want to implement an ERP in an Enterprise then we need to customize the existing standard code as per the requirement. A lot of ERP tools are available in the market like Microsoft Dynamics Ax, SAP, etc.
