a. Role of SCSI protocol in the implementation of enterprise storage solution :

- SCSI is a set of commands used to connect networked storage to devices

- enterprise storage is definitely large and problematic, and needs to be connected to their computing devices where this protocol comes into picture.

- it is also supported by all major operating systems.

-SCSI is basically used for increasing perfomance, expansion of device etc which may come in handy for enterprise storage.

- it is also used in storage area networks which are used by many enterprises wherein shared network storage spaces are provided with high speed .

-physically attached -attached over wireless network
-lesser performance compared to SAN -higher perfomance
- less cost - higher cost
- easier to manage - requires specified skill set
