The steps to prepare a progress invoice are:

1. Check the contract and review of any progress has been made i.e. any new work has been completed.

2. Check what is the amount that has been paid. What is the amount due and what will be the remaining amount after the payment.

3. Complete all the details like company name, counterparty name, job done, invoice details, address etc.

4. Highlight the amount being paid and the amount that will be due.

5. Sign the invoice by required signatory and sent it.
