Question

1. The stress is increasing monotonically with strain in one of the curve while it rises to a maximum and drops in the other.Pls explain the reason for this difference?

2. If the tensile test was carried under load control(ie. Load on the tensile specimens is actively increased by the testing machine while the extension is passively recorded),what would these two curve look like?(Pls. use a diagram to show the answer)
