Answer #1

given data are

population mean =67 degrees

population sd =8.8 degrees

sample mean x =80 degrees

in a z normal distribution z=

z= (80-67)/8.8

= 13/8.8

=1.4773=1.48

let we have to find the probability that a day will be warmar than 80 degrees. i.e, greater than 80 degrees

p (x>80)= p (z>1.48)

=1- p (z1.48)

=1- 0.9306

=0.0694
