IOT( internet of things) have been more popular these days.The amount of ip enabled and network connected devices entering our markets have been sky rocketing. The usage of devices like sensors,automated system etc. have been introduced into homes and even industries and organization .The usage of such devices have enabled organization to work more efficient and increase their productivity.But along with the positives that the field of IOT providing its users  there are negatives side for IOT.

The main disadvantage is the area of security ,as more and more IP enabled devices entering a firm or company ,such devices constantly collects data and keeps record of it as usually lot of such devices are connected together in network they share and communicate with each others .We are actually unaware of the ways data collected ,where it is stored or who access it.Most of such devices are low cost low margin devices as a result strong security measures might not be embedded within them.Getting access to large amount confidential data of a particular organization to an unauthorized person can cause big troubles or can lead to misuse of data.

Improvements in IOT sector are fast ,the methods for increasing the level of security of that devices provide  must be prime vision while using such devices and networks.Strictly use IOT solution that comes up with a strong level of security in built .Make sure to understand the data capturing ways and have a clear knowledge on how data processed where it stored who all can access it .When using IOT service be sure to keep updated with the latest firmware,IOT service providers provide such firmware help in security patches and bug fixing .Change passwords constantly .Make sure to turn off unused services and devices.Try to have a management system in firms to constantly monitor the device processes .
